USAF Sent 2 Aircraft B-52H To Kualanamu Medan

The US Air Force delivered two B-52H Stratofortres long-range strategic bombers to Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, North Sumatra.

The arrival of the two bombers was greeted by three F-16 fighter planes from Air Squadron 16 "Rydder" Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Riau, Pekanbaru.

The two USAF B-52H bombers flew from the US Air Base on Guam on Monday (19/6). Dispenau, statement.

It is said, the B-52H bomber will participate in the Indonesian Air Force Joint Exercise with USPACAF, entitled "Interoperability Bomber Landing 2023".

The training will be held from Monday to Friday, June 23 2023.
Two B-52 bombers from the USAF's 23rd Bomber Squadron, flew for 7 hours before finally entering Indonesian airspace.

An F-16 flight with the call sign "Rydder-11" flew from Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru to welcome the arrival of two B-52H bombers at an altitude of 20,000 feet, in Indonesian airspace, until they landed at Kualanamu Airport, Medan.

The three F-16 aircraft were manned by Pnb Major Bambang Aulia Yudhistira, Pnb Major Yusuf Atmaraga, Pnb Captain Hendra Zaimuddin, and Pnb First Lieutenant Defry Utama.

The joint exercise "Interoperability Bomber Landing 2023" is a historic moment, because for the first time the USAF's B-52 Stratofortress bombers were able to land and operate in Indonesia.

This exercise is also to increase the capability and tactical cooperation between the two air forces, as well as to enhance bilateral relations between countries
